My Struggle [Min Kamp] (Book 1 – A Death in the Family) — about Knausgård’s father’s funeral — has some deeply affective prose that incapacitates me out of nowhere. The flashback memory of him craving a fast food burger as he simultaneously remembers fucking up his first marriage had me crying with shock. SUCH GOOD WRITING so good. So very good. How he do it famm?
